question regarding 2nd NL

Hi guys I just received the 2nd NL. They say you have to wait 7 to 10 days before your passport gets mailed back to you after the interview......is it really that long? They also say you need to bring the original documents as well as a copy for each of them....weird. Finally,theres no mention...
