Visa Renewal After - Work Permit Extension

Hi I have applied for Work Permit Extension. Once I get the extension approval how can I apply for the VISA so that I can go outside Canada (US or India) and come back without appling for the VISA again in my home country. Please let me know the process Thanks Ankur.
